Don, further to what Brian Gilchrist says, it is very worthwhile to check the agricultural return even if it is a bit more work. It gives you a sense of what your ancestor's life must have been like - also check if there is a death return as you may pick up on death that occurred during the census year affecting your family. Not sure you are aware that you can order the film through your local library under the inter-library loan system but make sure your library has a microfilm reader.
