Ummm I wonder did I make an error below?
Sarah Jane Stitt's mother Elizabeth Smith was a sister to my GreatGrandmother Mary Hannah Smith who married Fredrick Bodfish.
Thus making Sarah Jane Stitt a neice of Mary Hannah Smith and Fredrick Bodfish.

I do think that some of the ages on the census are incorrect.

Thanks so much for stepping in with the additional information.
I love gathering as many details as possible for it makes much more interesting reading when my children are looking at the Family Tree.

You indicated that John Stitt and Elizabeth Smith were married in 1869 and that their daughter and sister to Sarah Jane Stitt was born in 1850... perhaps the date info is incorrect?
