Can you advise me the index site that you made reference to please?
Thanks, Tom
Hi Everyone
I have had a look at the Index of Wesleyan Methodist Baptisms that Ida
REED transcribed. Lots of great work done by that lady. Does anyone know
if these are "all" of the Wesleyan Methodist baptisms? I was hoping to
find baptisms of a William GRAY b 1842 and Mary Ann GRAY b 1844, most
likely around Pickering. However, I did not find any that matched. I see
that there are films that the baptisms are on, but if Ida transcribed them
all, then I guess it is possible they may have been baptised elsewhere.
Would anyone know where to find baptisms of 1842-1844 era that may be
Church of England or Anglican? What about burials in the 1840's possibly
in the Pickering area - anyone have ideas of where I could start to look?
Thanks for any assistance.
Janet
