The Attestation papers are not the full record.

You can mail or fax your request for the complete file of
any CEF soldier plus your credit card # for the charges
(very reasonable) I always fax as it is much quicker.

See http://www.rootsweb.com/~canmil/ and click on FIND YOUR
MILITARY ANCESTOR for links to the spot to request this
from NAC or go back to the CEF database and click on the
Help icon there

Re WW2, go to the same page FIND YOUR MILITARY ANCESTOR and
scroll down to info for WW2. Yes, you can get your
husband's full records from that war

I have my father's from WW2, it was over 100 pages and a
very reasonable cost
