I have found IGI to be a "finding aid", there are errors, we are all human.
I have found family lines there, whomever submitted the information missed
three children, possibly a different wife and did not consider them to be
related.
Check the source yourself.

What is the source of the LDS information? I assume you mean the IGI - so
was the information extracted from parish records or was it
patron-submitted?
If the information came from parish records, then the christening date is
likely to be correct - but you should look at the actual entry in the
register to make sure they got the date right.

Subject: [ONTARIO] Help with christening information
Is it possible that the LDS could be out by seven years on a christening
year? On the 1881 and 1901 census her birthdate is given as August, 1828.
Her death information also has her born 1828. LDS has her christened
Sept.1821. Is it possible she lied to cover up the fact she would be 8
years older than her husband who was born 1829? I can understand her being
off by 2 or 3 years but 7 seems a stretch. Thanks for any opinions.
Catherine
