Thanks to everyone for their links to familysearchindexing.org. I found it
yesterday--Dick Eastman wrote about it in last week's newsletter. I have
signed up but am still waiting for the welcoming email from the LDS.

However, when I was in Toronto in November I was told that the 1871 Ontario
(perhaps all of Canada) was being transcribed online through the LDS. It
wasn't on the list of projects underway, completed or planned on the
familysearchindexing.org website.

Anybody know about it?

/cheers

Hi Pat,

Go to familysearchindexing.org. That will give you a home page where you
register and start indexing. We've been doing a lot of the 1871 Canadian
censuses, but today a message was posted saying that we have finished what
we have been working on and that they may be able to get some better images
to work from. Recently I have been working on Irish BMD indexes and Mexican
censuses. It's interesting work.
