Kay, there is a

George Carl ANDRES

as a member of the CEF World War 1 born Aug 4 1893 and recruited on Dec
11 1917, he was single and born Buffalo New York living in RR #2
Caledonia Ont. His mother Elizabeth Andres 315 Mills St Buffalo NY was
the next of kin.
That being said this George Carl Andres married Alma Christine German on
Jul 9 1919, His parents were Emil Andres and Elizabeth Mitzger Buffalo
NY and her's Sidney German and Mary Preiss of Brant Co but not near Picton.

This is probably not the one you want but the only George Carl Andres I
can find.
