Hi Kathy & Doreen

Looking at the image of the census page, on the left hand side it is
clearly written "House of Providence". It must have been a large
facility as it starts on page 5 and ends on page 9.

Kathy, I found someone in the 1911 Census but did not see him in the
1901.
He is in a list with a lot of people who are described as "inmate" but
their
ages would indicate the facility was an orphanage.

Here's what I found in Middlesex Co.,

1911 Census / Ontario / London / 15 London / page 9
Durkin Ignatus M Engineer S Nov 1867 43

He was born in Ontario and Roman Catholic
