Need marriage of Daniel O'Neil/O'Neill b. 1821, Ireland, d. 1 Sept
1887, buried St. Viateur, Limoges and Adeline St. Amand d/o Leandre
and Cecile Denis b. abt 1828, St. Benoit, Deux Montagnes, Quebec, d.
1913, Cambridge Twp, Russell Co. Ontario, buried with Daniel at
Limoges. Marriage was his second and would have taken place abt. 1854.
Not sure if it was in Ontario, (Russell or Prescott County,) or if
it could have been in Quebec. I find them on the 1871 Census in
Cambridge Twp., Russell Co. But have not found him prior to 1871.
All children baptized or married at St. Jacques, Embrun, St.
Euphemie, Casselman, or Clarence Creek. Need date/location of this
marriage and his parents if listed.
Would also like to find his first marriage. It would have been about
1845 There were at least two, possibly 3 sons born of the first
marriage....all their marriages give mother's name as either Mary Ann
Moore or Catherine Moore.
Their son Cornelius O'Neill b. 1846, Ontario m. Eliza Geen/Gleen 31
Oct. 1877 at St. Jacque, Embrun
Their son Michael b. abt 1850, Ontario, m. Olive/Alice McAulay d/o
Charles and Liza Presley 17 Aug 1880 at St. Jacque, Embrun
They may have had another son, Arthur, but I can find nothing on him
other than his being listed with them on the 1871 Census. I seem to
have a marriage, but I don't know where the information came
from...supposedly he married on 7 Sept 1874 to Ann Jane Carline.
Normally I note my source, but I dropped the ball on this one.
I have been told that Daniel's first wife was a Bridget Moore, but I'm
not sure that's right as none of the children of that marriage ever
had her name as Bridget in any of their records. Have also seen him
credited with a daughter Mary from the first marriage, but I've never
seen anything to indicate this is so.
Would also like to find Catherine/Mary Anne Moore's death if possible.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
