Hi:

I think I found the census entry you are talking about:

1911 / Ontario / Hastings West / 25 Belleville / page 1 & 2:

Smith Geo. B M Head M Aug 1876 born
England, emig 1886, Anglican, can't read occupation, looks like engineer?
Smith Bertha A F Wife M Nov 1877 born Ontario
Smith Cedric M Son S Sep 1910 born Ontario

Ontario birth reg's are only available up to and including the year 1909
at your local LDS family history centre. Assuming the correct year of
birth is recorded on this census, you will have to wait until next year,
about June or so, to look at the birth reg for Cedric. If his birth
year is incorrectly recorded, as happened many, many times on the
census, you might want to go to your local LDS now to see if he was
actually born and registered in 1909. Ancestry only has them up to and
including 1907 so I can't look for you.

What was Bertha's maiden surname? Have looked for a marriage
registration and found:

Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1857-1922 Record
County of Waterloo, Division of Galt
Name: George Barnett Smith, bachelor, resides Montreal, C of E, engineer
Birth Place: England
Age: 29
Father Name: Joseph E Smith
Mother Name: Mary Eliza Barnett Smith
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1877
Spouse Name: Bertha Anna Johnson, spinster, resides Galt, C of E
Spouse's Age: 28
Spouse Birth Place: Brantford Ontario
Spouse Father Name: Joseph S Johnson
Spouse Mother Name : Agnes L. Mosscript??
Marriage Date: 2 Jun 1906
Marriage Place: Galt, Waterloo
Witnesses: Cameron Farquharson, Montreal, Jennie Hayes, Galt
Minister: Rev. Jno. Ridley, by license
Reg. #019483

Not sure if the above marriage is the correct one as you didn't mention
Bertha's maiden name.

The 1911 census and the marriage reg both say that George was born in
England. James Forest Smith was born in Gloucester Twp., Carleton
County, Ontario:

Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1857-1922 Record
County of Carleton, division of Gloucester
Name: James Forest Smith, bachelor, conductor on O. E. R(ailroad?),
resides Ottawa, Presbyterian
Birth Place: Gloucester Tp
Age: 25
Father Name: George Smith
Mother Name: Christina Moodie
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1876
Spouse Name: Alda Bertha Johnston, resides Johnston's Corners, spinster.
Presbyterian
Spouse's Age: 25
Spouse Birth Place: Gloucester Tp
Spouse Father Name: Kenady Johnston
Spouse Mother Name : Mary Ann Campell Johnston
Marriage Date: 25 Dec 1901
Marriage Place: Johnston's Corners, Carleton
Witnesses: James Moodie, Lime? Bank, and Emily Johnston of Johnston's
Corners
Minister: Rev. John A. Moir?. by license
Reg. #004269

So if the James Forest Smith marriage above is your people, then the
couple you found with baby Cedric is not the correct family.

This is likely a child of James Forest Smith:

Ontario, Canada Births, 1869-1907 Record
County of Carleton, Div of Ottawa
Name: Royce Smith
Date of Birth: 27 Sep 1902
Gender: Male
Birth County: Carleton
Father's Name: James Smith, conductor, resides at 36 O'Connor, Ottawa
Mother's Name: Bertha Johnston
Physician: Dr. Royce
Roll Number: MS929_157 Reg. #011477

I think this is the above James Smith/Bertha Johnston family on the 1911
Saskatchewan census, not yet indexed at www.automatedgenealogy.com . I
found them through Ancestry.com's index:

1911 census of Province: Saskatchewan District: Moosejaw District
Number: 211
Sub-District Number: 110 Census Year: 1911 Page: 5: This page is very
faint and hard to read.

Township 13, Range 26, West of the 3rd Meridian

James Smith Head born Aug??, 1878 age33 born in Ontario,
farmer, Presbyterian
Bertha J Smith Wife born October, 1878, age 33, Ontario
Royce Smith Son born September, 1902, in Ontario
Forest Smith Son born March??, 1911, age 3 months, born Saskatchewan

You need to look at the original page to see if I have interpreted the
above correctly.
