My great grandmother Margaret Ford/McCarthy died in Ottawa 29 Jan 1879 and is buried in Notre Dame Cemetery with her first husband George Ford and son Thomas. Her maiden name was Margaret Williams, probably born in Ireland, and the tombstone has her name hyphenated Ford-McCarthy I found her death in records of Notre Dame Basilica, which noted her 2nd husband James McCarthy as a survivor. A widow of George Ford for about 9 years, she is supposed to have married James shortly before her death. My guess is the wedding possibly took place in December 1878 or January 1879, though so far I have not been able to find civil records of death or 2nd marriage.

Would appreciate any help, as I would like to order records if available.
