For Hastings County Surrogate Court records use the FILE number in the
Non-Contentious Business column ... then go back to the Archives of Ontario
page and find the film for Hastings county that has that number on it ... I
think from the info below the FILE number is 7084 and from this page
http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/interloan/c-hast-t.htm#estate1 the
film you will borrow is
7052-7153 1926 MS 887, Reel 749
As an aside to the rest of the readers ... EVERY COUNTY USES a different set
of munbers or criteria to file Surrogate Court records, so you need to use
the AO page and follow each counties instructions carefully.
Since this is an administration, not an estate, it is unlikely that you will
see how it was distributed ... what you will see will be the order of
administration ... in other words, who got the job of administering the
estate.
