To add to what Lorine said -

I looked at the 1881 census in Victoria and found a John Bryans, 70 with
wife Jane Bryans, 42, children W.John Bryans 1, Charlotte Budd 5, b. ON
and Amelia Budd 16, b. ON. No Minnie.

I then checked the Marriage Index for 1869-1886 but did not find a
marriage for a Jane Budd to John Bryans.

Back to the 1881 census, in Dawn, Bothwell, Ontario, Canada there is the
family of David and Elizabeth Budd, children Flexman 18, Daniel 17, Mary
15, Elizabeth 13, Frederick 9, Minnie 6, Wesley 5, Annie 3, Rose 1.

If Charlotte married in 1902 she was possibly not yet born by the 1881
census.

I checked the Marriage Registrations for 1858-1869 and did not find a
marriage for this couple.

BUT I did find a marriage for Elizabeth Budd, parents John & Joamale
Budd, b. England m. John Pogue, both age 21, in Ops.Also found the
marriage in Ops of Samuel Budd, b. England, parents John and Joannah, to
Martha Graham, both of Ops. Elizabeth Budd and Samuel Budd had a double
marriage, marrying 10/17/1860.

In the 1881 census in Ops I found a Hannah Bud age 19 living with Robert
and Jane Pogue family. Also a Jane Budd 22, b. ON living with W.M. and
Elizabeth Robson family.

I would look at the 1861 & 1871 census. A quick look at the 1871 census
index show a Eli Budd, age 43, in Mariposa, Victoria. Looks like a lot
of leads. Should keep you busy for awhile. Pat

Would anyone have access to an index of marriages for 1902 I am looking for a Charlotte BUDD who married Burton J. FINLEY likely in Fenelon or Lindsay
