I have been considering transcribing an 1861 census for a Toronto Ward or for
York Township.

I will be borrowing a microfilm from the LDS and using a reader at my local
Family History Centre.

Before I go ahead and make my choice of area, I would like to know if anyone
else is doing any census transcription in this area and time frame. I do not
want to duplicate anyone else's endeavour.

The transcription will ultimately be available online without charge.
