DORIS E. MITCHELL Chester, N.Y. Doris E. Mitchell of Chester died on
Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center. She
was 94. The daughter of Lawrence and Ernestine Butler, she was born on
June 9, 1909 in Ottawa, Canada. Survivors include her daughter, Lillian
Johnston Caroll and her husband, Walter, of Demarest, N.J.; grandsons,
Stephen Johnston and his wife, Karen, of Tucson, Ariz., Paul Johnston of
Tucson, Ariz., Andrew Johnston and his wife, Betsy, of Blooming Grove,
Jeanne Breslin Johnston of Hauppauge; great grandchildren, Jessica and
Andrew Johnston of Tucson, Ariz., Bree and Alley Johnston of Tucson,
Ariz., Colin Mitchell and Keith MacKenzie Johnston of Blooming Grove,
Michael, Gina, Paul, and Christina Johnston of Hauppauge; a sister,
Muriel Danis of Ottawa, Canada; and many nieces and nephews in Canada. A
Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, October 28 at Chapel of the
Sacred Heart, Monroe. Fr. Michael McGuire of the Philippines officiated.
Burial was in Chester Cemetery, Chester. Funeral arrangements were
entrusted to Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers. Thomas F.
Flynn, Director.
