Two brothers, aged 28 and 30, living in Fitzroy, Carleton Co.,
ON are listed on the 1881 Census with an occupation of "Shanty
Man". My searches show up for swinging an axe and at sea.

Could some knowledgeable soul shed some light on this occupation
in Fitzroy c. 1881?
