Subject: [Ont] Let's Get Those Petitions Signed!!!
Date: Tue, 8 Oct 2002 23:02:43 -0400
To all:-
The coming weekend often means company, whether in
Canada or United States -- would love to be in Kitchener
to collect signatures at the Oktoberfest Parade!!
At present we have been requested NOT to send a barrage
of letters to all MPs and Senators -- however, this would
not include YOUR Member of Parliament or Senator.
You possibly voted for YOUR Member of Parliament -- it
is correct to ask for his/her support.
Even without a present census bill -- BE PREPARED -- and
we do not mind stacking up the Senate and House of
Commons petitions -- one never knows when these will
be needed.
The "menu" of petitions is great -- one can pick and choose
http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm
Yes - one has to sign these -- there is no place on internet
to place our vote -- this is the only way! We do this the
old-fashioned way -- with pen and ink.
Be certain YOU have the correct petition -- do NOT signed
Canadian addresses on a Non-Resident petition.
Last total delivered for the Senate was 971 Canadian -- I
know Gordon Watts has possibly more for House of Commons.
Could we double this number before Hallowe'en?
[I will count this as a birthday present!!!]
Looking for an avalanche of petitions!
