Hello everyone,

Just wanted to give you all a quick update. I have contacted the Ontario
Archives and have asked them about the copyright issue. They said they will
get back to me within a few days. They are also going to investigate
whether or not a similar project is already under way elsewhere.

I have also contacted Sherri at the Ontario GenWeb site. She is very
willing to host a searchable database containing the Ontario BMD Index
reels. It will fit in nicely with their BMD Registrations and Census
projects that are already underway.

I am going to post similar messages on county pages looking for more
volunteers and for more information.

I will give everybody another update as soon as I hear back from the Ontario
Archives. In the mean time, feel free to contact me if you have any
questions.
