Dear listers.
Please add some clarity here.

My understanding is that during Dominion status, only
NON-British citizens coming to Canada needed to be
naturalized (since under Dominion status - Canadians
were in effect British citizens).

Even if I am correct in the above, how does Ireland
fit into this picture? Were the Irish ever considered
British citizens when immigating to Canada?
