Muriel -
Thank you so much for your message! It brings things closer to home
for me.
My Great Uncle, James Gallagher, a WW1 Vet. was a resident at
Sunnybrook for many years. He was one of those who were unable to
return to their homes after the war due to some really hard
experiences. Sunnybrook became his home, and the nursing staff back
then took wonderful care of him. They were truly dedicated to their
mission in life. I have fond memories of lengthy visits and picnics
with him out on the lawns. Not to mention one of the other vets,
his friend, who was ex-vaudeville and loved to get up on the stage
in the theater. He was a "hoofer" and singer. Boy - could he tap
dance! We children loved to spend time there.
I for one, will never forget!
How could I, How could anyone
forget??
I pray your time with your husband was as memorable as my memories
are today.
God bless you both.
Aileen
Thanks again
