Hi

Does anybody know where Fort William is in Ontario ? If they do can they tell
me whether 620, South Marks Street still exists.

Is there a library in the town or city where there would be access to
directories for the periods 1940's and 1950's ?

I am current researching a Jack Blick who came to Canada from the UK in 1911
and worked for the Toronto Electrical Lighting Co in Toronto. He joined the
4th Canadian Mounted Rifles in November 1914 and was one of the very few
survivors from the original regiment - the majority being killed in 1916 in
the space of about 4 hours.

He returned to Canada from France in August 1919 and when to work for Fort
William Hydro Electric Company. During the 1920's he worked at the Cameron
Falls Hydro plant which I believe is about 15miles north of Nipigon. During
the 1940's he was living with his wife at 620 South Marks St Fort William and
still working for the Hydro Electric Co.

Can anybody give me any information of this man or do they know anybody who
had worked for the Company say in the 1950's who might know of him or his
family ?

Regards

Deker (UK)
