Hi,
Can't help with no. 1 but Port Arthur is now part of the city of Thunder
Bay. The former cities of Port Arthur and Fort William amalgamated in 1970.
Thunder Bay is located on the north shore of Lake Superior about 35 miles
from the Minnesota border. It would seem to be a bit out of the way on the
route from Kitchener to Cheboygan.
Best wishes
John
Thunder Bay
