Subject: [Ont] Miss Rye Children - Niagara Region

Has anyone researched the Miss Rye children brought from England from
impoverished families to work in homes here. The notes I have pertain to my
ggmother Rose Field.

Anyone with information on the Miss Rye children, or Rose Field, I would
appreciate learning more.

Thanks in advance
Dave

Notes found on my Rose Field's import records per the website listed:

Between 1869 and the early 1930s, over 100,000 children were sent to Canada
from Great Britain during the child emigration movement. Members of the
British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa are locating and
indexing the names of these Home Children found in passenger lists in the
custody of the National Archives of Canada.

Comments: Miss M.S. Rye was in cabin class so the children were probably her
