Subject: [Ont] Clarity for census 1851-1852
Date: Mon, 05 Mar 2001 13:27:20 -0500
It is my understanding that the 1851 census was prepared in January of
1852.
Would 'age next birthday' then mean - age after Jan. of 1852 or age in
1851
For example, my Alexander MACDONALD LOCKHART was born either 09 Mar
1814 or 09 Mar 1815, depending on various sources. Would the 1851-1852
census, which has his 'age next birthday' as 37, mean 1814 or 1815?
Thank you for any assistance in this one.
