Anyone have any suggestions on how I might go about verifying when an
immigrant arrived in Canada? I believe my GGrandmother, Jane Caldwell,
arrived in Canada in 1857 on the John McKenzie and transferred to the
Montreal. However, on the manifest her father is listed as Alexander
Caldwell and on the marriage registration (5 December 1860) to John
Cooper, her father is listed as Thomas Caldwell. Any ideas?
