Hello Everyone

First of all Happy New Year to all of you.

I am researching or trying to my ggggrandparents William Ross (who was a
cooper) and Margaret Eveleigh. They were married at St. Gabriel's
Presbyterian Church in Montreal in l8l8. I have a copy of certificate.
It is a special one which was issued to someone out of area.

On William Ross I know he was was born in approx l788 (where?) .I know
this from death records. He is died on May 4th, l830 and is buried at
the Old English Burial Ground in Montreal Cannot find death of Margaret
Eveleigh Ross.I think she may have remarried. Marriages are listed by
the husband's name in Quebec and impossible to find. if you do not know
his name.

I am not sure where they were born are these names familar with any that
you are checking or do you have any ideas as to what I can check next.

I belong to Eveleigh surname group and they say Eveleighs lived in
Newfoundland, Pictou and Perth , Ontario. I have checked these areas
and cannot find a connection . If anyone has any suggestions I would
love to hear from you. They are my last two families in Canada and I
would love to know if they were born here or where they came from.
