Assumption is a Parish in Sandwich, Essex County, Ontario. See quote
from Bill Martins site.

June 15 & July 5, 1999. The Baptism records for the Church of the
Assumption (114k), located in Sandwich, Essex County. These records are
for the period 1761 to 1786. Also includes a few marriages from the
years 1760 to 1781. Almost all are records of the early French-Canadian
settlers. Burials, (23k) and more marriages (15k).
