The Quick Cousin Primer

The common ancestor has children, they are siblings

The siblings have children, they are first cousins.

Those children have children, they are second cousins.

And so on to...

The fifth cousins have children, they are sixth cousins.

Only one of the sixth cousins has a child. That child is a sixth
cousin, once removed.

If I am wrong please correct me, as I spent a sunny afternoon
mulling this over and I wouldn't want to think the time too wasted.

Doug

> Just an explanation of " 6th cousins once removed"........how would you explain that? Common ancestor goes back to 1680. (I just can't picture it.....)
