Hi All,
Well, After reading this I just had to comment. Jean, I'm sorry that your
own family doesn't appreciate all the hard work you've put into your
research. And I realize that some family members can be like a thorn in your
side (I have some too) But if their are people willing to carry on the
history of a family, I don't feel we should withhold information. Yes, they
can/could offer something for your costs. I have read this wonderful bit of
advice and would like to pass it on.
"It is needful that we sometimes endure, keeping to ourselves what evil men
are, in order that they may learn in us, by our good living, what they are
not."
St Gregory
This quote has helped me remember that we are all so different and yet the
same. As time goes by we may forget names and faces, but we never forget how
someone has treated us. So, wouldn't you want to be rememered as someone who
was able to give grace to others? What a tragedy it would be if after your
gone, no one was interested in genealogy and papers were gone. I hope all is
worked out in your family, maybe you can be their example of proper
behavior.
It's Better To Give Than Recieve,
Kathy Begey
