William Brown 1st -born c1815 Armagh Ire. He was a jail keeper & is
suppose to have died about
1863 in Ire. He was married to Sarah ? possibly around 1840. They had 4
children. Sarah & the
children came to Canada about 1864 to the Muskoka area. They settled
around Gravenhurst. It is
thought that perhaps other relatives either Brown's or Sarah's relatives
lived there.It has bee
suggested that maybe Kennedy's & Hetheringtons could be Sarah's
relatives.
The children of Wm. & Sarah were :-
(1)James-born c-1841 Ire. (nothing more known on him)He is on 1881
census with
mother Sarah & sister Sarah.
(2)John Stinson-born 1844Ire.. He came to Muskoka ahead of his mother in
1855. By
. 1870 he wasin Parry Sound & then Manitoba by 1882.He
married & had 10
children-
Wm.,Thomas,James,Rhoda,John,Isaih,Norah,Norah Alice,Abner
& Eva.
Some of these children died young. I have no info on
William(1870-1926)
He move to Portland Ore. & had 2 ch. Verlie & Cecil.
Also no info on
.Thomas
(3)William-born c1847 Ire.- married Margaret Robbins & had 10 ch. I have
much info on
them (our Family) this family came to Brandon Mb. area in the
1880's.
(4)Sarah Ann-born c 1860. Ire. All we know about her was that she was in
the Salvation
Army from 1885 to 1887.
