You were right when you said you don't know much about Canada. You might
want to start by looking at some map sites such as http://www.expedia.com/,
or a Canadian genealogy and history site such as
http://www.islandnet.com/~jveinot/cghl/cghl.html
Kamloops is about 360 miles north of Spokane. Ontario is about 2,300 miles
east of Spokane. You may be better off joining the CAN-BRITISH-COLUMBIA-L
list.

Subject: [ONT] Kamloops B.C.
Dear fellow listers,
I am in the United States and as such do not know much about Canada
except it is North of me.
Can anyone tell me where Kamloops B.C. is located.
My grandmother Mary Ethel May Robertson born Feb 2, 1897
Staffordshire, England, was married there in 1912 to John Patrick
Colvin, born July 15, 1884 McDonald Co, Illinois, on March 24.
Witnesses were mother of the bride Bathiah Robertson and brother of
the groom T. H. Colvin, farmer. The wedding was performed in the
home of Bathiah Robertson, which means she must have owned her
home. Minister who performed the marriage was O. M. Sanford. Both
bride and groom were of the Methodist faith
How would I find out where Bathiah's home was, and where John and
T. H. farmed.
I know this is a lot of questions but I had to ask.
