I want to thank everyone who sent suggestions re my upcoming visit to
the Ontario Archives in Toronto. I will be answering the e-mails
shortly.
Would appreciate if anyone else seeing a "KITCHEN" send me the
information.
Again, the earliest information I have is 1861 Census of Melancthon
Township, Grey County. It stated my ggrandfather Jonathan KITCHEN, was
a Farmer age 36, born in U.Canada, religion
Baptist, origin - German
wife, Phoebe, Age 36. born U. Canada -- origin German
Son, Andrew, Age 13; Son Charles, age 12; daughter Mary Jane, age 7; son
George age 5; son Robert age 2.
I cannot find Phoebe's maiden name or their marriage --presume it was in
the 1840's before Andrew was born.
