John Madigan (1792-1878) born in Limerick, Ireland, married Bridget Winters
(1802-1882) born in Mayo, Ireland. They emigrated to Caledonia, Ontario
and had 8 ch: Patrick, James, Catherine, Mary, Bridget, Ellen, Francis, and
John.
The youngest, John Winters Maddigan (1840-1904) married Ellen Stanislaus
Baine (1851-1933) and had 12 ch: Margery (1870), Jane (1872), Mary (1873),
John (1875), Edward (1878), Ellen (1880), James (1881), Margaret (1884),
Francis (1886), Frederick (1889), Ellen (1892), and Arthur (1894).
The youngest, Arthur George Maddigan (1894-1944)was born in Hamilton,
Ontario, and died in Buffalo, Erie, NY. He married Lillian Doane
(1901-1983) who was born in NY and died in Florida.
The family, at least a part of it, moved from Ontario to Bueffalo, Erie,
NY, sometime around the turn of the century.
