List

ggfather Joseph DUKESBURY's Canada General Service Medal included a
Clasp for service in "1866 at St. John's (Unclear) Armands (also very
small print)". I have found the following locations that might fit this
description:

St John, Tay Twp, Simcoe Co (No Longer Exists) - Was a Fort
St John Township, Cochrane Dist (Currently Exists)
St Johns, Thorold Twp, Welland Co (No Longer Exists)
St Johns, Tuscarora Twp, Brant Co (Currently Exists)
St Johns West, Thorold Twp, Welland Co (Currently Exists) - Part of the
Town of Thorold

Can any one suggest which of these alternatives might have been the site
of service of the Royal Canadian Rifle Regiment in 1866 and what they
might have been doing there?
