Dear List:

I should say that I was searching records in Scotland so I assume that
this is like everything else - if the information for the area where
you are looking has not been input by the LDS yet, nothing you try
will work, unfortunately!

Here is another method that worked sent by a very kind list member but
I also found that unless all the children are found on the same batch
numbered film, you won't get all of them. I also found that some
children did not appear as they don't have Batch numbers, only film
numbers and references so this is definitely not infallible.

First, on the Custom search page, search for a birth/christening
record for a person you want, inputting their name on the left side
and the parents' names on the right hand side.

When that record pops up, make note of the Batch number.

Go back to the Custom search page.

On the first line on the left side, input only the last name of the
family whose children you want, leaving the first name line blank,
then input the father's and mother's names on the right hand side.

Scroll down and select the region and the country. Scroll further and
input the Batch number that you got. Click search.

It worked for me and I got all the children for the records that are
available on that particular film, that is up to about 1875. It was
also suggested you input only the Mother's first name but I input both
her first and last and that worked fine.

If anyone else has anymore suggestions that have worked for them,
perhaps they could send them to the list as everyone seems to be very
interested, judging by the queries I have had personally.

Hope I typed this all correctly! Try it and see if it works for you.

Marg
