Sharon:

Non-contentious number would be the court file number given to the majority
of probate matters wherein there was no dispute over validity of the will.

Grant number would refer to the number given by the court office when the
Judge granted Letters Probate, kind of like an official approval that the
Will was properly executed and appears to be the Last Will - now changed to
Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee(s) With Will - a change made
about 4 or 5 years ago to "simplify" matters or to put terms into more
modern words. (But everyone still refers to it as "Probate").

The audit number is likely an internal number that could (but does not
necessarily) refer to the cash register receipt for the fees paid on
applying for probate. This is a guess, but I doubt that this column is of
much significance to any research.

What you probably need to do next (I have not actually tried to access the
Wills) is to use the grant number and order an actual copy of the will. I
suspect that the Wills are likely microfilmed and available through the LDS
and the Archives and that would probably be a cheaper way to go than to try
anything through the court system. It used to be possible to get copies
from the county court house and pay by the page. Now all the older files
are gone and it costs a bundle to retrieve from storage.
