Hi Everyone

I hope that I'm not out of line by placing this here. But I thought that
this should be shared with any descendants of the above families.

I came across a Newspaper Article in the Port Dover Maple Leaf, Port Dover,
ON for June 8, 1988 that was about the Gunn House to be designated by the
LACAC as a historical home. My brothers wedding announcement is on the back
of it which is why it caught my eye.

The names mentioned as owners or descendants of owners may be of interest
to someone and it seems a shame to go to waste.

Frederick Gourley Millar b. 1812 USA d. Burford, ON Sept 6, 1887
wife Isabella
children: Isabella Janet c. 1851, John c. 1854, David, William and
Alexander.

Next owner: Lizzie J. Johnston of Alabama; d. Dec 20, 1934 in Alabama
sons Ewart, City of Boyce; Robert D. Burmingham and Gordon, deceased.

The next owner was Carl Frederick Kolbe, wife Edna Marguerite Tenison.

The article has quite a bit of valuable information for any researching
these lines. I can always scan and send the clipping on to anyone
interested. Please email me if you are interested or need more detail.
