John:
You were interested in obituaries of the very elderly. Here is one from
the Friday, August 21st edition of The Hamilton Spectator:
"MORLEY, Florence M. Peacefully left her family August 19, 1998, in her
109th year, at Grandview Lodge, Dunnville. Survived and fondly
remembered by her son John H. Mills of Hamilton and daughters, Kathleen
Janzen of Selkirk and Ethel Goodall of Hamilton. Predeceased by son Leonard
Mills and husbands John W. Mills, Edmund England and Charles F. Morley. Ever
remembered by 18 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren. Florence was a
woman of strength, humility, wisdom and humour with a true love for all
those that she met. We are all poorer in her leaving us but wealthier
with the memories that she has left and for that we can but say thank you.
Friends may call at the J.B. MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East
(east of Sanford), Hamilton Sunday 2 -4 and 7 -9 pm. Service in the Marlatt
Memorial Chapel Monday, August 24 at 11am. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Grandview Lodge Auxiliary Bus Fund would be
appreciated by the family."
A story and obit also appear in the Saturday August 22nd edition of the
Hamilton Spectator which gives more details of her long life.
