Hello all
I am looking for any Erwins or Edmunds that were in the area of Lanark
County around Smith Falls and Perth, Ontario. I am looking for anyone
who is related to these names as well as Lefebvre families.
If you have any relatives with these surnames in and around that area I
have lots of info on these families and I am brushing up on more recent
relatives that may have been lost due to family quarrals.
The Erwins came from Ireland around 1823 with Thomas Erwin and Sarah
Whitmas they had 9 children and I have located five so far. This family
lived in and around Perth, Ontario, some still live there today.
The Edmunds came to Ontario in and around Smith Falls and Perth in 1802
from Danby, Vermont, USA. William Edmunds had moved his 15 children out
of 16 to build Smith Falls Village along with other families. The
Edmunds still live in the area today
The lefebvre Family lived in Cornwall, Ontario they originally came from
France in 1639 or so to Canada and raised an enormouse family. Alfred
Lefebvre and Cecil Rousell grew a large family in Cornwall, Alfred grew
to own The Royal Hotel of which there sons now run the bussiness and now
own the Best western as well. The Royal Hotel is now known as Freddy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Best Regards
Brian Erwin
