My name is Charline Gail Kitchen Ahlgreen. I am looking more information
on
my paternal Grandmother's family geneology.
Letta (also found as Lettia) Ann TYRELL (also spelled as Tyrrell) was
born
on 1/22/1871 to Edward Thomas TYRELL (Tyrrell), who died in 1874 (his
father
was Edward TYRELL who died 12/11/1899) in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, the
family
home. My grandmother's mother was Mary Ann SMITH.
Mary Ann SMITH and Edward Thomas TYRREL had two more daughters besides
Letta Ann:
Caroline Elizabeth 11/14/1872-11/28/1872 and
Minnie Victoria 1/2/1874-3/17/1878
After my great-grandfather death, Mary Ann married Benjamin BLAKE
who came to Canada from England. He was a butcher and became a farmer.

SMITH TYRELL BLAKE and Benjamin BLAKE had the following children:
John William BLAKE born 11/27/1876 married Lillian DENNING 5/23/1900 and
moved to Kent, MI he was a prohibitionist and associated with the
United Brethren Methodist Church
Charles Henry (Harry) BLAKE 5/10/1879-5/17/1879
Carolyn Edith BLAKE born 4/29/1880 married Wesley CARD 10/4/1899 died
1/11/1954
Charles Roy BLAKE born 12/19/1882 married GRACE RING moved to Conneaut
OH, farmer
Eva Viddella BLAKE born 7/8/1887 married MILLER married #2 GAMBLE
(killed her abusive 2nd husband with a shotgun after the police
refused to
help her. Sat by his body for 3 days until a neighbor boy saw her.
Killed
herself when he went running for help on 1/15/1934
My grandmother, Letta Ann Tyrell, moved to Erie, PA where she worked on a
horse
farm as a seamstress.
She met my grandfather, James J. Kitchen, (born 5/8/1866 or 1867) a horse
trainer
from Simcoe, Ontario, Canada there. He moved to Erie, PA where they
married
and produced my father, Frederick James Kitchen on 5/20/1904. They
later
settled in E. Conneaut, OH.
Any information available would be greatly appreciated!
