Hi fellow Ontarians:

I have just joined this list as I have just found my husbands
granparents after looking for 30 years. Now maybe someone can help
me get a little bit more in this query. Theses are the persons we
are looking for:

PAYTON James b. ca 1853 in Quebec according to 1901 Census Records
for Ontario. He lived in Massey, Ontario with his wife: Mary
BRISSON (BESEAU, BROUSSEAU) the had the following Children

James Edward born Feb. 28, 1886
Albert born Feb. 08, 1888
Charles D. born Sept. 14, 1890
Henry born May 02, 1893
Blanch born Feb. 02, 1896
Elda born May 29, 1900
George E. born Aug. 11, 1908 My father-in-law
Kenneth Louis born Feb. 11, 1913

Mary his wife was supposedly born in the United States but
immigrated with her parents in 1876 as a child. Her birthdate is
March 24, 1869 I am looking for a marriage certificate showing the
correct spelling of her last name so that I may trace her through
immigration as we don't know where they came into Canada from.
I would also like James parents name and any siblings.

I would like also to know if there are any relatives still living of
the children. I know for a fact that the four youngest children are
gone and at least one of the older boys served in World War One and
supposedly died in France and is buried there. We also believe that
one or both of the parents are Native American. Also James the
father died approximately in either 1909 or 1914 and Mary supposedly
died in 1922. My father-in-law stated she died either in Detroit or
Windsor or Port Huron or Sarnia. He was only fourteen when she
died.

I hope someone can help or knows of this family. Any help is greatly
appreciated. Thank you in advance
Jean Payton
