Hi Maureen,

I know how you feel, I have enough brick walls to build a house of my own!
Sometimes it feels like I am building the Winchester Mystery House (a
California landmark).

My Tim O'Leary and family, all of Glounacloghy/Gloutnaw, Drimoleage, Cork,
etc. are easier to deal with than the daughter Mary who came to NY and
married a Regan.

However, Tim (Leary) O'Leary married a Kate Regan who was born abt. 1839.
They had eight children including my GM who was born 11/24/1876.

Of interest in this (to you) might be the fact that Kate (Catherine) Regan
was a child of Ellen Cain and Ds. Regan. Mind you, this was all in Ireland
and should not be confused with the US branch of the family REGAN. To my
knowledge so far, there is no connection. However, who knows what time will
tell.

Cain is relatively unusual in Cork, so I've been told, but have not had time
to pursue it so far. But the Ellen name seems to show up with your branch
so I thought I'd toss it out just because...one never knows.

Tim and Catherine's (Kate)children were Mary (my mystery Mary) b. abt. 1868,
followed in ordeer by Ella, Bridget, John, Catherine A., Patrick J.,
Margaret (my GM), and Helen C. O'Leary.

All except John came to the US,(1880's to 1906) and I have found all of them
and their descendents, except Mary who married mystery Regan. They were
reputed to have a son Tim, and two other children (at least). They lived
and died in NY. Elmira or Yonkers. Mary was alive c. 1927 when she came to
Montana and CA for a visit. Her son Tim, came to CA about 1939 or 40ish as
I remember it, and I was a small child at the time.

To my knowledge we have no Bartholomew, George, or Richard names in the
O'Learys that I know of.

Coincidentally I am also looking for Kilgannon's in Brooklyn, Delia, Thomas
and Winifred (who married Michael Dolan (maybe John Michael). she died in
1924, he 1n 1942. I mention this just in case you ever stumble across any
of them, I hope you will remember me.

Thanks for writing, Pat
