Good morning. I am trying to find information on Mary Elizabeth Newkirk (and her family). I believe she is the sister to Rutha C. Newkirk.

Mary Newkirk married my great, great grandfather Calvin Jackson Flowers...I believe her to be his first wife, as he later married Malinda Tennessee Wilson, who were the parents of my great grandfather James Richard Flowers.

Do you have any information on Rutha's family?

Family stories have Calvin and Mary having two daughters: Rutha and Sarah...haven't been able to confirm any of this, but with the similarity in names...I'm thinking I've found a link based on your note.

BTW, Calvin and Malinda both were in-and-out of LeFlore County...

Would love to discuss more.
