GEORGE PRESTON PRIEST was born July 18, 1930 in Weleetka, OK to Cecil and Opal (Walker) Priest, married Mildred Deckard on June 24, 1951 in Eufaula, and died Aug. 3, 2002 in Muskogee, OK. Services were Aug. 6 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Checotah followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; a son, George Preston (Buddy) Priest Jr. and his wife Susan of San Antonio, TX; a daughter, Rita (Bunny) DuBuc of Checotah; a brother, Melvin Priest of Muskogee; a sister, Dorothy Brown and her husband James of Checotah; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ortega and her husband Jose, Amanda DuBuc, Heather Priest, and Brandon Jones; two great-grandchildren, Devin DuBuc and Trey Ortega.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cecil Edward Priest; and two sisters, Maxine Walters and Irene Weedall.
