I have Althea Macon's book and also Harold O'Kelley's book. Sadly, there are a great number of conflicts between their information and my bible pages.
According to your information, when was Thomas' son, Charles, born? If your Thomas was truly born in 1725, he could be a nephew of our James. Our James O'Kelley was born about 1710, came to America in about 1730, and married Anna Dean in 1733. Anna, by the way, was also born about 1710, possibly in New York State. Their second son was named Charles and was born in either 1742 or 1746 (my bible pages show 1746, but the 'net entry I saw showed 1742...the problem is that I don't know how reliable the 'net information is. I don't have much of anything on Charles, but I do have a lot on his brothers and sisters. James and Anna (Dean) O'Kelley settled on the Roanoke River in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.
I've seen the Stamps name on the 'net and in various publications, but not in my bible pages. This would seem to indicate that we may not be directly related. Do you have names and dates of birth for the siblings of Charles?? That would help us figure out our relationship.
I'll be looking forward to hearing from you again. Thanks a bunch!!
P. S. There are FIVE bible pages - one for each generation backwards from my g-g grandfather, (Dr.) Thomas Katlet ("T.K.")O'Kelley. You may be interested in knowing that T. K.'s oldest son, Edward Capehart O'Kelley, was the man who murdered Bob Ford after Ford murdered Jesse James. Ed was my g-g uncle.
