James Pendleton O'Kelly, b. 24 Jan 1822 in Chatham Co., NC and d. 28 May 1898 in Gallaway, Fayette Co., TN. James P. O'Kelly was the son of William Jefferson and Nancy Jane Moring O'Kelly. William J. O'Kelly was the son of William and Mary Elizabeth Merritt O'Kelly. William O'Kelly was the son of Reverend James and Elizabeth Meeks O'Kelly.
James P. O'Kelly married Rebecca Jane Tharp 5 Oct 1843 in Fayette Co., TN. They had Nancy Baker O'Kelly Wall 1844; William Henry O'Kelly 1846; Dr. John Wesley O'Kelly 1848; Rebecca Jane O'Kelly Ashford 1850; J. Taylor O'Kelly 1852; Medorah O'Kelly 1855.
Rebecca Jane Tharp O'Kelly died in 1858. James P. O'Kelly married Tempy Wall, daughter of Frederick & Anna Clifton Wall, 21 Aug 1859. James P. & Tempy had the following children: Ann J. OKelly Doyle 1860; Lewis Henry O'Kelly 1864; Dora Lee O'Kelly Branch 1866; Thomas Jefferson O'Kelly 1868; Ella Bratcher O'Kelly Williams 1870; Viola Daisy O'Kelly Doyle Ashford 1872; Perla or Pearl O'Kelly Douglass Henson 1875; and an infant that died.
Does anyone have a connection to this family? Does anyone have a picture or copy of a picture of Tempy Wall O'Kelly? My husband is the great great grandson of James Pendleton & Tempy Wall O'Kelly and the great grandson of Ell Bratcher O'Kelly Williams.
