26, 1902. A former Tyrone had been established in Texas County on May 5,
1892; its name was changed to Barcross and the post office moved to Kansas,
September 20, 1898. Its name comes from county Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland.

I think they might be talking about the Town of Tryon that is located in
Lincoln county. Perkins and Tryon School districts are combined.
