Hi Dora, Nelson's daughters were Launa, Ethel, Nellie all born in Iowa. Ruth
the baby of the family was born in OK, not sure where but suspect Guthrie,
Logan Co.
Launa married John (Jack) Jackson Scribner in Guthrie, Logan on 23 May 1906
(per family, not proven yet), Ethel married Steven Crosley on 5 Jul 1905,
place unknown, but I suspect Guthrie also since sister Ruth was born there in
1903 and sister Launa married there in 1906.(Her marriage info per researcher
of Martin Family) Nelson's wife was Mary Talitha Martin. Nellie married a Mr.
Wilson. No date or place. Again from the Martin researcher. I haven't proved
any of this. I have a request in to the researcher for her sources and proof
but no response yet.
I did get a couple of suspects for Nellie's husband. One a James, the other a
Carl. Both are about 7-9 years older than she and both died in the same place
that she did.
This from SSDI.
Ruth who was born in OK married Leo C. Horal on 15 Jun 1926. I suspect he was
from Colorado. I found him in 1917 listed on a Colorado WWI military index.
Both he and Ruth died in Littleton,Arapahoe, CO.
Launa Scribner died in Orange Co, California. As did all of her brothers.
Ethel Crosley and Nellie Wilson died in Lakewood, Jefferson, CO.
Their mother Mary T Martin Rich also died in CO but in Denver. I have been
looking for them in OK for the 1920 census, but no luck so far. I will start
looking for them in CO in 1920 if I don't find them in Oklahoma.
I thought at first that Mary went to Colorado after Nelson died to be close
to her daughters but I am wondering now if the whole family moved to CO. I
have written to my sister to find out what her husband knows. So far, he
hasn't known much.
I didn't intend to write a book when I started this email but I always try to
give as much information as I have when someone asks a question. As always,
