Thank you so much for trying. It was a long shot but hope never dies in trying to break down genealogy "brick walls." (smile) I have a missing ggrandfather's first wife and children. They are on the 1850 Pleasant Township census complete with a 2 month old son. The ggreatgrandfather remarries in the same Township in 1855 and "moves on" with a new family of 10 (smile) but I cannot find any clue to what happened to the first family. Since he remarried in the same Township I assume he did not just "walk away." I will probably never know but I keep trying periodically.

Joyce,

The index I have is for years 1851 - 1900. I do not find any Butler's or
Butter's in it. Sorry. That does not mean that they do not exist just that
they have not been transcribed.
