Jean, I think it would be preyty easy to go from southern Ohio to LA by
boat. Go down the Ohio river until it meets the Mississippi River and
then go straight to LA. Perhaps your family was engaged in river trade
and made frequent trips down the Ohio and Mississippi Helen.
